This past June, the Nguutu Foundation went Masimba, Kenya, to coordinate construction of a solar-powered STEM lab at the village's secondary school. This lab will bring electric lighting and power to students. Although the solar system is funded, we still need financial support for laptops crucial to the lab's function. Our aim for this STEM lab is to actively engage students and improve their learning opportunities.
During this trip, we also prioritized agricultural projects, including the construction of multiple chicken coops for local farms.
This November, the foundation drilled a well that will provide fresh drinking water to hundreds of people between two villages and a high school.
